Sapientia Foundation, A Charitable Trust
Sapientia Foundation is a charitable trust established in 2025 to advance education and economic opportunity. We are an organization described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees. We deliver free, plain-language financial education and self-help tools directly to the public and through a network of community partners. We are administered under the laws of Delaware and operate from Woodbridge, Virginia.
The trust is irrevocable. Its Declaration of Trust expressly authorizes programs "for education or betterment" and "for economic relief or hardship." The Board meets at least quarterly and requires unanimous trustee consent for financial commitments.

The participant reads their own report, writes their own letters, and keeps their own records. We teach; we do not act on anyone's behalf.

Curriculum and tools are released under an open license so any library, clinic, or legal-aid office can deliver the program themselves.
Governance & accountability
The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees and is recruiting additional independent trustees and a volunteer advisory council.
